MATTEO DARMIAN UNLIKELY TO JOIN JUVENTUS

Juventus were largely reported to be interested in out-of-favour Manchester United defender MatteoDarmian. The Italian right back was set to return to the Serie A after struggling under Coach Jose Mourinho. However, current reports in Italy claim the champions are already looking at Juan Bernat of Bayern Munich.

Bernat has a year left on his deal and would come significantly cheaper than Darmian so Juve are considering the move. Darmian is eager to get his career back on track and he has agreed personal terms with Juve but the Serie A side do not want to spend that much on his transfer fee, which could be in the range of £20-25 million.

There are reports that Mourinho wants to sign a left-back in Alex Sandro from Juventus this summer. The Portuguese wants to rebuild the defence and wings, and add options ahead of the new season. Sandro has been identified as that player that can help United as their current fullbacks’ age.

However, Juventus are making plans for the new season with Sandro involved, as per reports. Paris St-Germain are also believed to be interested in the player as well. It is unknown if Juventus would want to experiment with the left wing when they are only trying to sort the left wing at the same time.

Well, it could just be transfer buzz as same United was linked to a move for Justin Kluivert before AS Roma snapped him up from Ajax.

United are still being linked with a move for Chelsea’s Willian and Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld.
