Former Manchester United defender Rafael da Silva believes that the team should keep Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their manager. He said that the Norwegian has turned the team around and that he has shown that he has the quality to manage at the highest level.
Rafael da Silva said that the team needs strengthening and that it will be interesting to see what kind of players Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would bring in the summer if he is given free rein over the club. He said that the team was far from the Champions League qualifying places and that he has managed to put them back into the top four. Furthermore, he has managed to get the team past Paris Saint Germain when everyone was given them as favorite to go out of the Champions League.
Rafael da Silva said that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has proven that he can manage big players and that he is not afraid of dealing with egos of today’s superstar players. He believes that he is the right man for the job and that he can bring back the glory days at Manchester United. For that, he needs to get the full support of the board as well as the fans.
Rafael da Silva said that Manchester United already have a relatively good squad and that they need a few additions in order to become a team that can challenge the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool for the title.
